Review: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader

Yesterday, after church our youth group went to go see "The Voyage of the Dawn Treader".
Negative Elements:
- Violence
-  Creepy Looking Monsters
-  Loud Sounds
-  Dryads swim in the water, they are shiny and translucent
Personally the things listed above I think might be just scary for little children. There is no drugs or alcohol.
Spiritual Elements:
This movie was full of`spiritual content.
- Lucy, Edmund and Caspian went down into a cave, in the middle was a gold pool which was one form of temptation, greed.  Temptation.
- The Crew of the Dawn Treader followed a Blue Star to find Aslan's Table, much like the Star that the shepherds followed to get to Jesus
- Lucy prays to Aslan to help them and he does.
- In the Movie Eustace turns into a dragon and Aslan changed him back.
Spiritual Quotes:
- "No matter how hard I tried I couldn't do it by myself, but Aslan did it." (Eustace talking about him being changed from a dragon back into a human)
- "I was focusing on what was taken away, not on what was given to me" (Prince Caspian talking about why he wasn't going to go into Aslan's country)
- "I have another name in your world" (Aslan talking to Edmund and Lucy about how they would see him again)
- "Knowing me here for a little will help you know me better in your world" (Aslan talking to Lucy and Edmund about why they came to Narnia in the first place)
I will be posting a post on "The Voyage of the Dawn Treader:" later.

Chistmas Stress/Relaxation

ChristChristmas Break is coming on way too fast.  That means two things that are completely opposite, relaxation and craziness.   Because there is no school for 2 weeks it will be relaxing, and on the other hand it will be crazy and stressful because of all of the last minute shopping.  But I still love it.  If you know anything about me it is that I like being stressed over things like shopping, I guess its the pump of energy and thought.

On Sunday the youth is going to see The Voyage of the Dawn Treader.  Review will be coming.  It looks really good!

Thanks for Reading,

New Appreciation

Yesterday I went to work with my dad.  I never realized how much he does everyday.  I was copying music and putting it into folders, just a little bit of what he does everyday and I was EXHAUSTED!  I now have a new found appreciation for what my dad does every single day.

In Pain

First off, sorry that I haven't been posting but our internet has been down.  Second off ITS MY 99TH POST!!  Alright, but about 5 minutes ago I banged my head against a corner in the wall in my room.  Now I have a GINORMOUS knot on top of my. And since I have this know I can't go to bed for a while.  And I'm exhausted.  I really don't know why though because today was the most relaxing day of homeschooling yet.  I got to sleep in 'till 8 and didn't get out of my pajamas until 9'30. It felt so good.  I have been home all day except for the trip down to the library and to DQ.

Thanks for Reading.......

.....and next time that I post it will be my 100TH POST,

Non-Camping Experience

I am going to go away from my "Time Spent on....".   And going to my weekend while going the Youth was going Camping. My main reasons for not going camping with the Youth this weekend was, no bathrooms and no running water.  But we found that we have a water leak so we had to cut off all water. Which of course means no bathrooms and no running water. I guess God was saying "So you're not going camping so I am going to bring all the reasons why you didn't want to go to you to you".

4: Trying to Look Good

4: Trying to Make Ourselves Good

I mean really, I know that it's a nessesicty but still.

We do really "obsess" over pickin out our outfits and doing stuff like that. I really don't think that there is anything else to say about this Without just stating the same thing over and over.

Thanks to Laurie for giving me this.

If you have anything that you think we spend most of our time doing, just comment and if I think that it's true I'll put it in my next post.

Over Occupied with.....

In the last 5 posts I will be listing and explaining what I think that we spend a good portion of our time doing instead of praising the Lord.

I want to see if I am right or wrong, so please look on the right of this screen and you will see a poll, please pick the one that most applies to your life. Thanks

#5.  Watching T.V. and Being on the Computer

How often do you watch T.V.? Now don't get me wrong I love to watch T.V. too and I find myself guilty of spending more time watching useless shows and online than in Gods Word and talking to him and enjoying his presence. Something that I really have been hit by this week is that nothing will really matter except him, so why try to live any other way than to live for him and in the way he would want us to live?

Just Something to Think About,
Blake

Drama, Why?

My life (as most of you know) is very hectic. (Post -Hectic Mess) Well another thing that I can add to my description is Dramatic. And the ironic thing is that most of the time it has nothing to do with me, but still I am the one to make peace.   I mean the things I have to make peace for are pretty RIDICULOUS. It seems sometimes the we argue just to make ourselves feel good or just to argue. And trust me I do that all the time, I will find the littlest things to argue about and make a big deal out of it.

On a lighter note, I took an All-State test last night and got a PERFECT SCORE! So excited. But I won't find out if I made the cut until sometime after Nov. 13.

Thanks-for-Reading,
Blake

Camping: Don't Think It's for Me

Alright, so the Youth is planning this Camping Trip. And can I just be blunt, I HATE Camping! I mean I really despise it with a strong passion.  And so I am at ends as to whether go on this camping trip or not.  I mean I'm going to sound pathetic when I say this but when I sleep on the ground it KILLS my back.  And we are going on a HIKE! I'm not thinking I'm up for it. I mean I don't  know that I'm up for it.  :-/

"Good-Bye's"

Today Suz had to go back o her family. We have known them FOREVER!

I was born and raised in Nashville ,TN. And as all of you know my dad was and still is a worship pastor, he worked at Two Rivers Baptist Church. Jon and Suz were in the choir and Jon helped dad out with the orchestra and singing (of course). But anyway, We go WAY back. She has 2 kids, Eli and Josiah. I've known Eli, well science he was born but I don't remember until he was 2. He was so little and CUTE. Josiah I don't think (correct me if I'm wrong) I ever met in Nashville. Now Josiah looks just like I remember Eli looking. Now they are so BIG!

Suz went to the airport at 4:00. Bye, Suz. See you soon!!!!!!!  Love ya'

I have got a GREAT cake recipe if you guys want it and in this recipe it has stuff that you normally have in your pantry, I
I'll put it in the next post.

Saturday....The Endless Rotation

Most Saturdays I do the exact same thing, But today I was thrown for a loophole. Over the last couple months I had gotten out of the soccer routine.  So normally I would have gotten up at about 6 o'clock and watched some T.V then I would have gone into my room and get dressed and mow the lawn. I have always had the dream of  sleeping in really late but that never quite happens. But of course this morning I was determined to wake up at, at least 8:30 but at 7:00 Corban comes into my room and says "Blake! Wake up, I have a surprise." Now I don't do anything except lay around until like an hour after I wake up. But I was forced to get up and I did and the surprise was pigs in a blanket. (Thanks Corban!) So then we had to go to Corban's first Soccer game! Yay! They won 6-1 but scored seven points.

Soccer Season, Here we Come!

Wanna see pics? I put some on my dad's Facebook account: click here or if that doesn't work. Go to Facebook and go to my dad's pics and its under the album: Corban's First Soccer Game.

Lost.....and Found Camera

This story is kinda long and complicated so I'll just tell you the whole story.......

So Corban decides he wants to camp in the back yard. So we did. We set up tents and went the whole 9 yards. At about eight, McKenna and I played a V~Ball game to 25. I beat her and it was a lot of fun.. When we finally got Corban into bed, Tanner came into our tent and we played card games. At about 9:45 I finally said "Sorry guys, I HAVE to go inside my back is killing me!'' I took some ibuprofen and went to sleep. Then I thought that I had lost my camera because Corban was playing with it and I was FREAKING OUT! Then the next day I (with Tanner's help) tore down the tents and threw them to the side, my camera was not underneath them as I had previously thought. Then I was told that I need to mow the lawn...so as I was finishing up one section of the lawn. McKenna walks over to me and asks "How much do you Love Me?". I was about to ask How Much Do You Want? But I held back. I said I Love you a Lot. Then she pulls my camera out from behind her back. I was SUPER EXCITED! I finished mowing the lawn and wanted to Blog about it SOOOOOOOOO badly! But I started then everytime I would sit down to write this I got interrupted. So I apologize for the lateness of this post but there's my story.

By the Way:  I am going to update my podcast hopefully with A LOT more posts and possibly get it up to date by 3:30 pm today (09-06-10). In case you missed my post about my podcast here's the rundown: I speak the posts I have done and put them on iTunes. I am going to start giving cool and interesting news and updates with it! Ripped-Off

We were making the run where we dropped Tanner off at Jazz Band and mom picks McKenna and I up from Chorus. We went to Dairy Queen and we got Mini Blizzards, we were just going to try them out.  And what do you know Dairy Queen never fails to have high prices. And we got RIPPED OFF! We paid $2.49, for a Blizzard that was really Tiny. I already emailed Dairy Queen about this because this is ridiculous. It was the perfect size but not for the price. So I suggest not to buy this product.

I was passing by Taco Bell today and we saw a Traffic Jam of about 20 cars it went out of the parking lot all the way to the hill, it was ridiculous. But compared to this story (Traffic Jam) that jam was a highway. Click Here for the Story

If you don't have time to read, here's the run down:

In Gridlock China there is a Traffic Jam that is 60 miles long. it has been backed up for 9 Days!!!! They have been playing Cards and Chess. OH MY GOSH!!! :-)

Gain and Loss

I was listening to Pastor Carey's Sermon today. And he said something I that I had heard a million times but never stopped to think about it (Probably the same for you). What he said was Paul's famous words in Philippians 3:8 - (paraphrasing) Everything I think of as gain I count it as loss for Christ Jesus. When he said that I believe that God really laid it on my heart to think and meditate on. What I think Paul meant by that is this, Everything that he considers "gain" or something he likes having, Compare that to Christ and it is Nothing. OR Another way of looking at that would be all the things we like having takes us away from Christ or time with Christ. If you disagree or think this means something different comment or email me @ btmtrilogy@gmail.com, I would love to hear from you. And Thank you Pastor Carey for saying something that really stuck out that was God using you to touch me.

New CAMERA

This Post is not included in my "Dean Life" Project.

For Those of you who I have buzzed or emailed. You know that I have ordered a Camera. It came in Today, I am SOOOOOO Excited! I have already taken photos, My Camera is a Samsung SL 102, I am not going to give it a review per-say. I am going to do a comparison:

1)   Photo that                                                                                          Photo that I took with Camera:
      was supposedly taken
        with Camera:

*Sorry its not the same. But I think you can tell the quality differences and similarities.

2)  Price:

                Original: $129.95          My Price: $79.99

3)  Thus-Far it has been fairly simple to operate. Except it took me a while to find the timer but as I said thus-far it is very simple to operate.

End-Result:

I LOVE this camera takes pretty good picture and when you zoom it is not grainy. I am going to send some photos to go print. That will be the quality Radar. Now tat I have a camera I can finish photo blogging.

Sunny-Side Review

Review of Toy Story 3:

Overall/Storyline:

Andy is leaving for College. But he has to decide what to donate, what to put in the attic and what to take to college. A Simple Mistake puts the whole gang into a daycare,

called Sunnyside. But they don't know that the leader has no intention to let them go anywhere except the Daycare. The whole gang returns Woody, Buzz, Hamm, Slinky Dog, Mr.Potato Head and Mrs. Potato Head, Jesse, Bullseye and Barbie. And Introducing Lot'so Huggin' Bear, Ken, Big Baby, Twitch, Stretch, Chunk, Sparks, Chatter Telephone, Book Worm, Jack-in the Box, Chuckles the Clown, Mr.Pricklepants, Trixie, Buttercup, Dolly, Peas
in-a-Pod and Totoro.

Questionable Content:

Love Scenes Between:  Buzz and Jesse
                                                  - hold hands
                                                  - Jesse kisses Buzz on the cheek

                                         :     Ken and Barbie
                                               - rub noses
                                               - say "I Love You"
                                               - hold hands
                                               - Ken asks Barbie if she will live in his Dream House w/ Him

Gambling:

Some of the Sunnyside toys used Monopoly money and batteries inside a snack machine to gamble. They used a "The Farmer Says" Toy to gamble.

Country (...with Christian) { Otherwise Known as Danny Gokey Report}

Danny Gokey:

Danny Gokey's Debut Album ("My Best Days") is the perfect blend between Country and Christian. Technically he's not supposed to sing Christian but if you listen to his album closely it makes some very big references to Christianity. The one line that especially stood out  as being Christian related was "I never saw a man walk on water, I never met a man who walked on water but I still believe!" This  refers to the story in the Bible about Jesus walking on water with Peter (found in : Matt. 14:22-23, Mark 6:45-52 and John 6:16-21). Very In-Genius way to make a country song Christian. Here is a  reviewof Danny Gokey's new Album:

Day of Books (and other problems)

Last Night I went to Barnes and Nobles and saw a lot of people I knew, but while we were walking out the door we saw a familiar family and after we left this is what happened: (From The Mom's Blog)

So today was a really rotten day as far as being a mom goes. In fact, shortly after the day began, I put this on Facebook
First day out of school for Ryan. He’s been up less than 2 hours & has already pitched a fit over a toy, screamed at Alex, punched Alex, thrown a fit over losing toy above due to hitting, pushed his brother, thrown a fit over Alex taking a turn with a game, & hit him one more time. So I was trying to get us all ready to go swim, but now Ryan will be sitting in his bed alone while Alex and I pray for patience!
The day got slightly better from there. I took Ryan to the pediatrician for a splinter that had gotten infected in his foot. He got the splinter Wednesday, but we were not in a place where I could look at it and take it out when he told me about it. It also seemed tiny, so I didn’t think much about it. Last night, as we were getting ready for bed, I noticed a red stripe on his foot and immediately realized that the splinter was getting infected. It took about ten minutes of kicking and screaming, but I got it out, put some medicine on it, and put them to bed. This morning, I put some hydrogen peroxide on it. When it didn’t look any better, but continued growing, I called the doctor. And the point of all that is that when I got there, the boys were very well behaved, but the nurse chastised me like a child for not getting Ryan in sooner! The way she spoke and looked at me, I felt like she was waiting for me to apologize! Since I had gotten him there as soon as I realized it was getting bad, I didn’t apologize. I said, “Okay,” and stared back at her waiting for whatever else she felt compelled to say.
I won’t go into every detail, let’s just say getting the prescription, having lunch with Daddy, and the trip to the grocery store were less than ideal, but much better than I have seen from other families! So I am thankful that my boys are at least fairly well behaved when we are out and about.
Nap time was a nightmare. For me. The house rule is that you stay in your own bed and you stay quiet. Books and quiet toys are allowed. Sleep is not mandatory, though Alex usually still sleeps for a little while. Today Ryan followed remained within his boundaries. Alex was out of his bed more than in it. He tried repeatedly to get up into Ryan’s bed and no punitive measures seemed to help! My constant battle with him meant that I did not get any of the housework I wanted done — or even begun. Walking the dog, preparing dinner, and eating dinner were slightly better, but I still felt completely drained.
I had planned to make my Wal-Mart run tonight. (The previous trip was Winn-Dixie for the big sale items.) But I was so frustrated that I, with my husband’s encouragement and blessing, took the boys to the bookstore instead. This is nearly always a joy for me. I love the atmosphere. I love being in the middle of thousands of books. And I love my hot white chocolate mocha (with raspberry when I’m really treating myself!). This time we ran into several friends from church, including our worship pastor, Carey, and his boys. His youngest son is 4. My boys love to play with him. Ryan sometimes calls Corban his “best friend.” My boys ran around a corner into the kids’ section to talk to Corban. Carey stopped and spoke to me as he headed out. A moment later one of the older sons brought Corban around the corner. While we said our farewells, I felt confident that my boys were being good in that back corner — as they usually are extra well behaved when we are at the bookstore. Imagine my surprise when I walked back to that little corner to find about 8 books flying through the air (and even had to jump back, sloshing my coffee, to avoid one)!!!
It was one of those tall carousels that holds the thin, square paperback books that kids this age like — the way that the Berenstein Bears is usually published. Alex, 3 years old, was spinning the carousel as hard as he could. The books wereeverywhere! My guess is that there were twenty to thirty books on the floor. It was everything I could do not to scream when I said, “STOP!” Alex did stop and very innocently looked up at me.
As I began to chastise Alex for his behavior, Ryan spoke up in his defense. “Well, Corban did some of it.” (Gee, thanks Carey!)
I, in motherly cliche fashion, replied, “If Corban jumps in a fire, should I let Alex do it, too?”
LOL… Ryan just stared at me, as if to say, “What does jumping in a fire have to do with these books?” Even as I sat there, the hilarity of the situation hit me. I wish I had taken a picture! After Alex cleaned up the mess (with my help) and sat in time-out a while, I allowed myself to laugh. Out loud. And we enjoyed most of the rest of the time in the bookstore! Now maybe I’ve regained a modicum of sanity and can deal again with retraining the behavior of two boys who suddenly seem to have forgotten their boundaries!!!

Looking Behind a Piece of Glass

Once again I was listening to a radio program and it brought up a  very interesting point. It said "Feeding the Hungry (this would also work with any national problem) is like the weather people complain but do nothing about it."    I would call this "Looking From Behind a Piece of Glass" this means that people complain and maybe even worry a little but they keep there distance so they don't have to do anything about it. I challenge you to quit "Looking From Behind a Piece of Glass"

"Gummy" Blog Post

I was looking at blog posts and I found this one, as a Gum LOVER it caught my eye.  Here's the link to the actual blog (Glennbeck.com's Stu Blog) : Click Here

Or you could read the post right here:

If you remember, Violet turned into a blueberry when she decided to eat gum from Wonka that had not been perfected yet.   The gum was supposed to simulate a three course meal, starting with tomato soup, then roast beef, and finally ending with dessert–blueberry pie.  Of course, the gum hadn’t been released to the public, mainly because it turned people into giant blueberries.  Also, no one would ever want to chew tomato soup flavored gum.  And, Willy Wonka had to deal with  thminor issue of being a fictional character.
Yet, with all of those hurdles, flavor changing gum is finally here.  Something called Stride Shift has been created, and while there isn’t any flavor that simulates tomato soup, the gum actually changes flavors a few minutes in.  Start with a piece of berry or citrus gum, end up with a piece of mint.  It’s really weird and I don’t know how it happens exactly, but it’s the sort of thing that you grow to expect from living in America.
Which brings us to the larger point.  Willy Wonka ran his business like a socialist dictator at the end.  Instead of focusing on making his business as efficient as possible, he was constantly throwing money at perks for himself (like the Wonkavator and an office with everything cut in half for no apparent reason)  not to mention coming up with schemes to help (read: imprison or enslave) people like the Oompa Loompas.   Then, at the end, instead of selling the company through an IPO or something, he just gave it to some supposedly deserving poor kid that STOLE FIZZY LIFTING DRINKS.
Well, Willy–you know what poor kids don’t do well?  Run candy companies.
So, in the end, we needed Kraft—a capitalist company that formerly was part of the Phillip Morris/Altria empire—to step in and do Wonka’s work for him.  That’s right—when we needed a problem to really be fixed—we went to Big Tobacco.   They completey destroyed the weird child-molester-ish guy dressed in purple and the thieving poor kid and his equally guilty grandfather (who sleeps four to a bed), and brought us Stride Shift gum.   If Slugworth were around, he would have finished this project years ago!
So…God bless capitalism…and Slugworth.

(Please  Remember: I did not write this Glenn Beck did) (Also very sorry the video at the Video at the bottom does not work)

You do not have to subscribe to get it though, you can get it online. To do this  click here.  Another cool article is by Rich Deem (this link is to his website's home-page)

Self - Centered

Earlier Today I was listening to a Radio Drama and it was about 2 guys that were headed to California to pick up a new pick up truck for a really cheap price. After they went to San Diego they made a stop to Hollywood, to make a long story short they ended up staying at a famous producer's house and then a earthquake that was a 6.7 on the Richter scale hit Hollywood. Tons of Movie sets and Houses were Destroyed, but nobody wanted to help anybody except themselves.  In the end the producer's older daughter admitted that she was a spoiled brat and wanted to change, while his younger daughter came to know Jesus as her Savior and Lord. People in Hollywood started thinking more about others than about themselves through the example of one of the men. The other helped with the hurt and wounded. The whole point of me telling you this is that so many people today get so caught up in themselves and how they look or what other's think about them to the extent that they forget about the others around them. Its really depressing to watch, if people would quit caring about what people think about them for one moment we wouldn't have all the smoking and drugs there is today, because then people wouldn't care if people didn't think that they were cool, because it wouldn't matter they would think of what it did to them and how harmful it could be. Try putting that in perspective.

Weird Feeling

You know that weird feeling that you get when you know that something bad is going to happen but you just don't know what.  I had that feeling the day before my teacher told us she was moving to D.C. and I couldn't explain it that day. People asked me what was wrong but I had to say I don't know. Obviously you could see it on my face and I could feel it in the pit of my stomach, I felt really queasy. if you ever get that feeling don't just shrug it off, prepare yourself. The day she announced it I had a emotional breakdown for the rest of the day everything bugged me and I got stressed over everything. Just Something to Think About.

Medicine

Sometimes what your doctors tell you do about being sick is only for your physical health, but what about your emotional health. Well, As an un-official emotional doctor/therapist/advice column i recommend watching a really funny t.v show, like "I Love Lucy" or "The Cosby Show".  Because when you are sick the pain can make you very depressed and that can lead to emotional un-stableness.  But if you want a real person with a college degree, go see a therapist, but a lot of kids and teens that I know I believe would probably highly recommend me as a good mentor or a person that listens to your problems and gives you advice. Just Something to Think About! (The link for I love Lucy is my website that I made for it)

The Present

Why in today's society does every other song or commercial have to be so digustingly wrong or just disgraceful? Is this what we want our Society to be like? I mean if I go to a different country and they ask where I am from and I say The U.S What will they say? Well to be completely honest you can't be for certain, but let's rephrase my last question.... What do we want them to think? We have 2 options: 1) "Oh those Americans the nasty, dirty  minded heartless people!"  or 2) "I sure wish I could live in the U.S. in seems like a good place to raise my kids and a place to settle down!".  The future Americans are the kids in school right now, We have to teach them what's right and wrong, how to dress and how not, what to sing and talk about and what not! Just Something to Think About!

Mother's Day Present!

For part of a Mother's Day present for my dad's Mom and Grandmother (my Grandmother and my Great-Grandmother) to make sure that they were at his grandmother's house we called and said that a Fed-Ex was coming at 12:30 and asked if they were going to be there. They said Yes. So we drove about 2 hours and 30 minutes and when we were a street away my dad told me to get out and go in her backyard. Then he called and told them to go outside and look to see if the package came and then they saw me. Its was the best Mother's Day present!! (We also gave them something else, but that is beside the point) They were so excited, we ended up seeing my cousins (who live in TX but were in town) It was the best Mother's Day EVER!!!!!  Tell me what you did for your Mom/Grandmother/etc. Comment.

Writer's Block and Pyramids

Have you ever had to write something but you just can't decide what you want to write about.  So I have re invented writers block. I am writing about Writers Block. Call me crazy but hey whats wrong with that? Okay I guess that I'l write about Rick Riordan (click there to go to his blog) and his new book "The Red Pyramid" I was in Barnes and Nobles and I got to page 98. His writing never fails its always perfect to degree. Its about a brother and a sister one was raised by her grandparent and the other traveled the world with his father. On visitation day there father takes them to a museum and something really bad happens. For full summary and free download of the first chapter (audio) click here.

Acting

People always told me that T.V. never taught you anything. I mean I see where they get that , but sometimes you can learn a lesson and you don't know that you learned it until after you think about it.  For example, I was watching a show called "Big Time Rush" an episode called ""Big Time Blogger"" its about his really famous blogger in Hollywood that comes to interview the band, They get lessons on how to answer questions, how to have their body language and other things like that. But when he goes to interview them he sees right through them and sees how they were rehearsed and phony that they really are. They hunt him down and convinces him to spend the whole day  with them. Well it ends up that they locked him in a closet and he escaped through the air vent.  Then when they read his blog he started the post off bad but then showed how genuine they really were. So what do we learn from this, we learn to be ourselves and not try to be anyone but you. Don't try to act like anyone else.  If you would like to watch the episode click here. "Big Time Rush" is part of the Nickelodeon company.

Not That Ironic!

Well today in Science today we are studying how living things are formed (GREAT!!!! :-( !!!) Ugh! I knew this would happen, so I am sitting there and we are having a discussion about this. Well I am a Christian and this is kinda off the topic but I have realized I hate the world religious I mean everyone who is not religious make it sound like a bad thing but back on topic.  Well we were talking about this and I was backing up creation. But the worse was still to come. Then we got on the topic of Dinos. (Before We move on I have to give you my opinion on these creatures, If they existed they did with humans because sin came before death and Adam and Eve were the first sinners so biblically they couldn't have died) But of Course my science teacher supports Dinosaurs. Since there were mostly Christians in the room he said "Well maybe a day to God was 2 billion years?" PLEASE! I was really kinda mad. Then I gave my opinion on Dinosaurs.  Completely different views. Then someone asked "How do you think that the Earth (and humans) came to be?" Of Course he supported Evolution. (Not That Ironic, that a science teacher would support the scientific reasoning) Then he started talking about the Big Bang Theory (The scientific theory NOT THE T.V. SHOW!) and he said " Well gravity pulled stuff together and then it got so packed together that it blew up! I responded "But I thought that there was no gravity in space!". Well that is what I have always been taught. But apparently that there is some gravity in space! (Go Figure). I am going to have to do some research on that one. But we all have our beliefs and that was just mine. Please do not take any of this personally if you are a Dino believer or Evolutionist as I said this is just my belief. Thanks. If you disagree or just want your voice to be heard COMMENT I would love to hear your perspective.

Constitution

When our founding fathers wrote and signed the Constitution, they probably wanted us to follow the rules.  They wrote the Constitution so that we would have guidelines to follow, they probably knew that if the future Americans followed the rules in the Constitution we would become a great nation.  But some of our presidents didn’t always refer to the Constitution. When Franklin Roosevelt was president, (during the Russo-Japanese war) put all of the people who looked even remotely   Japanese in concentration camps. You might think that it doesn’t sound that bad but by doing this he went against the constitution.  He broke the 6th Amendment that states: In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the State and district where in the crime shall have been committed, which district shall have been previously as certained by law, and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; to be confronted with the witnesses against him; to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor, and to have the Assistance of Counsel for his defiance.”. He put them in Concentration camps without giving them a fair trial. How do you think that this made the Japanese-Americans feel? Do you think that they respected the leaders of America? I mean most of them loved America just as much as the next American and they would never betray their country.  I think that the only Japanese people that should’ve gone to “jail” are the ones that gave out information to the enemy.  We took them from their homes, their friends and pets.  That’s like putting someone in jail because their last name is the same as a murderer.  The people that “founded” this great nation didn’t write a constitution just for it to sit around and gather dust, they wrote it for us to use and live by.  I believe that before any leaders make laws or take action for anything they should make sure it does not contradict with the Constitution. If it does I believe that it should not become a law or take place.  Ask yourself this, are our leaders abiding by the rules that are in the Constitution?

Cool and Popular

When I walk around school and you hear people say things like "That person is so not cool" it makes me wonder what does "cool" really mean? Well after pondering this question I discovered this:

There is a difference between cool and popular, popular is a number and cool is a trait.  Popular is just the amount of people you know and like you. But cool is the people that keep their grades up and want to do good in school and plan for the future.  The "popular" people are the people that get the jobs like sweeping the floor at McDonalds.  The people that keep their grades up and plan for the future are the ones that become doctors and lawyers.  I am not saying that if you don't make all A's you will be sweeping the floor at McDonalds, I am saying that if you try in school and do your best you will achieve anything that you want to achieve. For the people that stay in school just for sports and that is all that they got running for them and do just enough to pass so they can get to Pro's, let me tell you something only a few people get into pro then the rest are left scrapping for a job.  Basically all I am trying to say is don't get caught up in the gossip of school about who's "cool and who's not. Because if those people starting those things get through school they will be working under the people that tried in school. SO try your best in school and you will achieve anything that you want to achieve.

Feelings

Do you ever feel like everyone around you is above you but you just can't get as "high" as them. Well if you are its perfectly normal. Everyone calls themselves "cool", but here's a word of wisdom, "Cool and Popular are not the same thing".  The people that are really "cool" are the people that care about their education and their future. Those kids might not know as many people or get regconized by the other students, but they are the true "cool" kids.  On an happier note, today is the first day of Spring!!!!!!  I am very warm-blooded so that means shorts weather, Even though I have been wearing shorts for like a week.  The only reason I know that I because I am watching "Fox & Friends". Today I am going to an Academic Team meet, which is basically just where honors students that were reccomended. then one Saturday every month the team goes to a school that is hosting it at thier school. Then when all the teams arrive we start and go to different rooms where the readers ask random knowledge, if you know the answer you hit your buzzers and whoever buzzes in first gets to answer if they are on the other team thier team can't buzz in again for that question so then it goes to the opposite team.  You only have ten seconds to buzz in and ten seconds to say your answer(s).  Please check out one of my favorite blogs (click on his name):Rick Riordan, If you don't read his books he is an author to the very famous childrens series, "Percy Jackson and the Olympians", the first book just became a movie "The Lightning thief". But beware the movie is nothing like the book.
